I make cheese. I take pictures. I try learn from everyone (no matter how much they might enfuriate me at times) and to take something useful (even if useful sometimes just means fun or relaxing) from every experience. 

I cook a lot and have a bit of a bad cookbook habit. I can stop any time. 

Really, I mean it.

Food really has become a serious passion of mine over the last few years.  I can probably thank Tony Bourdain and a couple of friends for getting me rolling in that direction and luck and the eGullet community for turning it from a hobby into a career.

I love photography and have taken classes on and off at the Photographic Center Northwest. I tend to pefer older, more manual forms of photography.  I like film.  I like doing things by hand.  I like taking my time. My preference is large format, with its dark cloth, its slow, deliberate composition and th freedom it gives in playing with the image right from the get-go.  Rather than reposting loads of photos here, I would have you look at my Flickr galleries.
